How it works
What goes into a forecast, what doesn't, and how to check every one.
What the forecasts use
Results, shots, shots on target, corners and cards from every match in the last four years, across all divisions of each country. Clubs get attacking and defensive ratings that weight recent matches more. Shots on target feed an expected-goals estimate, so a side that creates a lot but finishes badly isn't written off. Pi-ratings add a second opinion on the result.
What they don't use
Injuries, suspensions, line-ups, transfers, weather or referees. Forecasts are sealed up to three days ahead, so late team news isn't in them.
The reasons
Each forecast comes with a few lines on what drove it, taken from the same numbers the model uses: team ratings against the league average, expected goals against actual goals, form, rest and the table. Head-to-head records are shown as context only.
Sealing
Each forecast is written as a small document with a random nonce, and its SHA-256 fingerprint is published immediately. Every entry includes the previous entry's fingerprint, so entries can't be reordered, removed or slipped in later. The database stamps the time, rejects anything sealed less than ten minutes before kickoff, and refuses all edits. Contents open to everyone at half-time, 50 minutes after kickoff.
Grading
Results come from football-data.co.uk. A right result means our most likely outcome happened. Over/under and both teams to score count as right when the side we rated above 50% came in. Log loss scores the full probabilities against the bookmaker's closing odds with their margin removed.
Not betting advice
The model doesn't beat bookmaker prices on average, and nobody should bet expecting it to. Bet only what you can afford to lose. 18+.

Questions
Are these betting tips?
No. They're probabilities with their reasons. A 38% favourite loses more often than it wins, and we say so. Use them to inform your own view.
What are picks?
We only put our name to an outcome when its probability reaches 60%, across the result, over/under 2.5 goals and both teams to score. About one match in four gets a pick, a few get two, the rest say "No pick". Picks are sealed before kickoff like everything else. In the backtest they came in 67% of the time against 66% expected. They're often the easier questions, so they don't mean we beat the bookmaker.
Do you beat the bookmakers?
Not on average, and the track record shows it. Bookmakers' opening odds pick the right result slightly more often. What we offer is calibrated probabilities across many markets, the stats behind them, and a record nobody can edit.
How do I know you didn't change a forecast?
Each forecast's fingerprint is public from the moment it's sealed, and each entry is chained to the one before. Run the check on the How it works page: your browser recomputes every fingerprint.
Which leagues?
England (Premier League to League Two), Scotland (all four divisions), Germany, Spain, Italy and France (top two divisions each), plus the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Turkey and Greece.
Do the forecasts know about injuries?
Not yet. They use results and match stats and are sealed up to three days ahead, so late team news isn't included.
Can I cancel?
Anytime, from the link in your receipt email. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

What ProofTable is
ProofTable publishes football statistics and forecasts made by a statistical model. A "pick" is an outcome our model rates at 60% or more. That means it is expected to miss roughly four times in ten, and over a short run it can miss far more often.
"Proven" refers to our record being checkable: every forecast is locked before kickoff and graded in public. It does not mean any forecast is certain or that future results will match past ones.
No guarantee, no advice
Everything on this site is for information and entertainment. It is not betting, financial or professional advice, and it is not a recommendation to place any bet. Past performance, including our backtest and live record, does not guarantee future results. Bookmakers' prices include a margin, and our forecasts do not beat the bookmakers on average.

1. The service
ProofTable publishes football statistics, probability forecasts and picks made by a statistical model, and a public record of how they turned out. Free visitors see statistics and see forecasts from half-time. Subscribers see forecasts as soon as they are locked. The Disclaimer is part of these terms: picks are our opinion, not a guarantee and not betting advice.
2. Who can use it
You must be 18 or over, or the legal gambling age where you live if that is higher, and allowed to use gambling-related information under your local law. By using the site you confirm this.
3. Your account
You sign in with a link sent to your email. Keep access to that email secure. One subscription is for one person; do not share your access.
4. Subscription and payment
You pay the price shown at checkout. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Payments are processed by our payment partner, who may sell the subscription on our behalf and add VAT where it applies. Your card details go straight to them: we never see or store them.
Launch offer: until 30 November 2026, full access is free for anyone who signs up with an email address. We collect no payment details during the offer and nothing is charged automatically when it ends. Access then returns to the free plan unless you choose to subscribe. We will email you before the offer ends.
5. Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time from the link in your receipt email or by emailing [email protected]. You keep access until the end of the period you have paid for; we do not refund part-periods. If you are a consumer in the EEA or UK, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase. Because subscriber content is available immediately, you agree at checkout that it starts straight away and that you lose the right to withdraw once you have access, as the law allows. This does not affect your other legal rights.
6. Acceptable use
Do not copy, resell, republish or redistribute forecasts or picks before they are public, scrape the site, or try to get around access controls. Do not use the site for anything unlawful. We may suspend access that breaks these rules, without refund.
7. Our content
The site, its design, forecasts, picks and text belong to us. You may share links and quote public results with credit to ProofTable.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the site running but do not guarantee it will always be available or error-free. Data comes from third parties and can be late or wrong. We may change or stop features. If we stop the service, we will refund any unused prepaid period.
9. Liability
We are not liable for losses from bets or other decisions you make using the site. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the subscription fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For subscribers, we will give notice by email or on the site before a material change takes effect; if you do not agree, you can cancel before then.
Privacy Policy
Last updated 2026. Short version: we collect as little as possible, use no tracking cookies and sell nothing.
Who is responsible
ProofTable, operated from Reykjavík, Iceland, is responsible for your personal data on prooftable.net. Reach us at [email protected] or through the contact form.
What we collect
Visitors: nothing that identifies you. Our host, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and browser details to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies, without fingerprinting and without tracking you across sites.
Subscribers and free sign-ups: your email address, your subscription status, and an ID from our payment provider that links the two. Your name, billing address and card details are collected by the payment provider, not by us.
Emails about paid plans: only if you tick the box when signing up or in your account. You can turn it off there at any time, or by contacting us.
If you contact us: the name, email and message you send through the contact form, kept until your question is resolved and for up to 12 months after.
On your device: if you sign in, your browser stores a sign-in token so you stay signed in. The site also remembers your league filter and stats view in your browser. These are needed for features you use, are never sent to third parties, and are not used for tracking, so no cookie banner is needed.
Why we use it
To provide the subscription you asked for (contract): sign-in, access to forecasts, billing and support. To keep the site secure and working (legitimate interest). To meet legal obligations such as bookkeeping and tax (legal obligation). We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it.
Who processes it for us
Cloudflare (hosting, security and analytics) and Supabase (database and sign-in emails, hosted in Europe). Each processes data only to provide its service to us. Where data leaves the EEA, it is protected by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
How long we keep it
Subscriber data is kept while your subscription is active and for up to 12 months after it ends, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Payment records are kept for as long as accounting law requires, usually 7 years.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, and object to or restrict how we use it. Email [email protected] or use the contact form, and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to the Icelandic Data Protection Authority, Persónuvernd (personuvernd.is), or the authority in your own country.
Age
The site is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
Changes
We may update this policy. If a change matters, we will tell subscribers by email before it takes effect.
